“Growing up, my parents always told me that I’m Taiwanese, and to never let anyone tell me otherwise. As I grew older, I started to learn more about the complications of Taiwan and our Taiwanese identities. As a Taiwanese American, I’m always striving to protect my Taiwanese American identity – an identity that I cherish – and by doing so, I became more active in protecting Taiwan and helping to promote Taiwan in the international community.”

We have a very diverse group of speakers this year – ranging from young Taiwanese Americans, to a Tibetan activist, as well as the former Ambassador of the Dominican Republic, Ambassador Manuel Felix. Our biggest and most well-known speaker, Freddy Lim, is flying in from Taiwan to attend. Freddy Lim is a Taiwanese rock band lead singer turned politician.
Remember – you don’t have to be in the US, you don’t have to be in Taiwan – you can be ANYWHERE to express your support and to take part in this movement!
