As summer is coming to an end, Center for Asian American Media and Taiwanese American Professionals – San Francisco (TAP-SF) cordially invites you to join them for the CAAM Fest San Jose Closing night showing of 27C Loaf Rocks (世界第一麥方).

In 2010, Taiwanese baker Wu Pao-chun defeated competitors from 16 other countries when he won the title of Master Baker at the Bakery World Cup in Paris. While becoming a renowned baker was something that he always knew would eventually happen, it wasn’t without hard work, passion, and perseverance that he succeeded. Veteran director Lin Cheng-sheng brings Wu’s journey to life on the big screen in 27°C LOAF ROCKS.

From his humble beginnings on a pineapple plantation, to his apprenticeship in a Taipei bakery, Wu Pao-chun accepted any opportunity that allowed him to advance and elevate his baking skills. Along the way, he continuously finesses the process of creating the perfect red bean bun, striving to give one to his childhood sweetheart, 27°C LOAF ROCKS is an inspiring biopic about how any goal can be accomplished when hard work is applied and one’s passion is unyielding.
