Come immerse yourself in an Asian Night Market experience in Austin for one night. In celebration of the upcoming Austin Asian American Film Fest, Taiwanese Professionals in Austin are inviting everyone to come party with us at Zhi Tea on Saturday, August 23 from 6-9pm. Food trucks, tea demonstrations, street vendors, surprise Bizarre Bazaar performances and more are to be expected!

Make sure to talk to everyone and find our neighborhood gossips who will spread the word about our surprise performances throughout the night. Be sure to haggle with the vendors (it’s almost required, and don’t worry, they are expecting it), that’s the fun of an Asian night market! Also, if you are ever interested in buying or wearing a sari, there might be South Asian grandmas who will fuss over you and teach you how to wear one properly. Mahjong bingo, anyone?

To those who’ve been to night markets in Asia, it’s going to feel laid back, to the uninitiated, it’s going to feel extremely chaotic and that’s the fun of it. Things are happening everywhere with seemingly no set agenda.
