We are happy to announce that Wei Yang (魏揚) and Huang Yu-Fen (黃郁芬), straight from Taiwan’s Sunflower Movement, will come speak with us in the Bay Area! We’ll start off with dinner and then move into speech/Q&A.

Born in 1989, aged 26, student at National Tsing Hua University. Wei has been has been involved in many social movements including the Black Island Youth Alliance. He is more well known for the recent occupation at the Executive Yuan where he said he would bear legal responsibility for the fallout.

Speaker Profile: Huang Yu-Fen
Born in 1990 and also a National Tsing Hua University Student, she has been involved in many social movements from Anti-Media monopoly to being a founding member of the Black Island Youth Front. She’s also occupied the Legislative Yuan and has acted as a spokesperson for the group.
