The Taiwanese Association of America, Greater Philadelphia Chapter (TAAGP) is awarding a scholarship which is open to college bound seniors, regardless of race, national origin and financial needs.

The Taiwanese American Community Scholarship Awards recognize and honor the seniors, selected from high schools in the Greater Philadelphia area, whose outstanding scholastic achievements, leadership, and service activities have enabled them to be a positive influence on their fellow students, their schools, and their community. Each award includes $600 and a plaque.

We hope that the scholarship will be an inspiration for the award recipient toward greater achievements, academically and professionally, in his/her future.

Eligibility:
· Well-rounded students
· Demonstrated leadership skills, good character, community service,
academic achievements

Requirements:
· Official transcript & SAT or ACT score report
· A brief biography of no more than 200 words
· One recommendation from teacher or counselor
· Resume including activities and/or volunteer work (with approximate
hrs/wk)
· Essay of 500 words on (1) Your experience on leadership and
teamwork; or (2) What influence do you want to leave on those whom you meet?
