The Johns Hopkins University Taiwanese American Students Association (TASA) is proud to present TASA Nightmarket 2013! Come join us at our biggest event of the year and celebrate Asian Awareness Month!
Nightmarkets are one of Taiwan’s most popular cultural attractions for both locals and tourists. Made up of a variety of stalls run by local vendors, nightmarkets provide attendees with the opportunity to purchase anything from food and drink to clothing and other goods, as well as play games and see live performances from local dancers and musicians. jhuTASA is excited to once again bring its own version of this beloved Taiwanese tradition to Hopkins! TASA Nightmarket 2013 will include performances by student groups such as the Lion Dance Troupe and the Johns Hopkins BBoys, as well as tons of fun game booths run by TASA and other student groups, and lots and lots of authentic Taiwanese food!
To keep everything organized and running smoothly, jhuTASA will be using a food ticket system. For the low, low price of $5, you’ll receive 10 tickets, with almost each ticket equating a single dish! You’ll also receive 5 free tickets upon entering Nightmarket 2013—that’s 5 FREE dishes just for coming out! We’ll also be selling popular and delicious Asian snacks like Pocky and Hi-Chew, so you can take a little piece of Asian culture home with you! J-Cash and Cash will be accepted.
There will be lots of activities, games, events, prizes, contests, and more, so come out and join us!

– Scallion Pancakes (蔥油餅 Cong You Bing)
– Shaved Ice (剉冰 Cuo Bing)
– Bubble Tea (珍珠 奶茶 Zhen Zhu Nai Cha)
– Braised Pork Rice (滷肉飯 Lu Rou Fan)
– Pork Belly Buns (刮包 Gua Bao)
– A variety of delicious catered dishes such as General Tso’s Chicken!
