North America Taiwanese Women’s Association II (NATWA II) invites you to join our NATWA Southern California chapter for a joint event: Taiwanese American Women Standing Up: A Community Service Event.

A keynote speaker from the Asian Pacific Women’s Center (APWC) will speak about domestic violence issues in the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community. NATWA II’s own Deana Chuang will also speak about prosecuting domestic violence crimes.

This event will be a potluck, so bring your favorite dish if you would like to join us for lunch. We also ask that you bring one item, such as a kitchen item, toy or clothes for the clients of APWC.

Please RSVP to Deana at or by January 9th.

The purpose of NATWA II is three-fold:
(1) to establish a network consisting of 1.5- and 2nd-generation Taiwanese American and Canadian women
(2) to cultivate and promote talents among young Taiwanese American and Canadian women
(3) to preserve Taiwanese culture and promote Taiwanese American and Canadian identity.
