About Us
The TACL Leadership Conference is designed specifically to congregate Taiwanese Americans with a proven track record of service and leadership for the Taiwanese American community, enhance their skill sets to be more effective, and use this training platform to transform the TA community. Whereas many other conferences provide educational workshops, speaker sessions, or discussion forums, this conference will focus entirely on leadership skills training. The conference is non-partisan and non-political, with the simple mission of allowing TA leaders be even more effective with executing upon their individual organizations’ visions.
Attendees will partake in an intensive curriculum that focuses on 4 key skills:
1) Project Management
2) Meeting Management
3) People Management
4) Communication (including public speaking)
In order to ensure the quality of the conference and provide the best experience possible, we put our counselors (www.tacl.org/leadership/bio) through a 6-day, 2-part training program. To preserve the experience for the attendees, we are keeping a tight ratio of 15 attendees per counselor for the small groups. Therefore, we are setting the attendance to a fixed 75-delegation cap. We anticipate much more interest than 75 people, and therefore acceptance to the conference will be based on a prioritization system (see “Registration” tab on our website), based on the registrants’ proven history and commitment to the TA community. This will surely be a special experience for attendees, and as we scale the growth of the conference by training more counselors in the future, this conference will unfortunately have limited seats, so please register early.
