Taiwanese United Fund (TUF) is proud to host the 2012 TUF Cultural Night on September 15, 2012 at the Pacific Palms in the City of Industry in Southern California. This year’s theme is “Made in Taiwan – Food, Ecology and Technology.” The event will start at 4:30PM in the lobby of the Pacific Palms with “Made in Taiwan” booth exhibitions. The dinner starts at 6:30PM, and the official program begins at 7:30PM with a special performance by the popular Rhapsody Trio, raffle prizes, and fun games.
Our keynote speaker is renowned Mr. Luis Ko, who is the President of I-Mei Foods, Co. Ltd., one of the major Taiwanese food companies in the world. In addition to being an esteemed frontrunner in the food industry, Mr. Ko is also an advocate for living a green lifestyle and is the CEO of I-Mei Environmental Protection Foundation. Furthermore, Mr. Ko is the Director General of the Association of Taiwan Digital Publishing Alliances, and the Publisher of the English newspaper “Taiwan News”. He always strives to advance Taiwan’s standing and competitiveness in the global economy.
In 2011, Mr. Ko was awarded with the title of “Top 100 Most Valuable Taiwanese Managers” by Manager Magazine for his high principles and contributions to the food industry. In addition to leading a successful business, Mr. Ko is also a environmentalist and technology specialist. TUF is very proud to have the opportunity to host our TUF Cultural Night with the “Made In Taiwan” theme designed to honor Mr. Ko’s dedication to Taiwan.
