Ever wondered what telephone number, home address or license plate is considered lucky? Chinese numerology is considered to be one of the earliest forms of numerology. The origins of Chinese numerology date back 4000 years ago. Chinese numerology is based on mystical traditions, including the I-Ching. The common premise is that certain numbers are associated with ‘good’ or ‘bad’. The element that makes a number ‘good’ or ‘bad’ is the punning and word play possible in this many-tone language. Join us for an introduction to some basic concepts used in chinese numerology.

Mrs. Min Mey Chang is the founding principal of the Arcadia Chinese School and Cultural Center. She also co-founded the Arcadia Chinese Association with her husband. She has been an integral part of the moral, intellectual, physical, and social development of countless Taiwanese Americans in Southern California. She has served on various boards, including the California Board of Acupuncturists. Her husband is a well-respected physician and former mayor of the city of Arcadia. She is a proud mother (of James, Richard and Peter Chang) and grandmother.
