Dress for harvesting, planting, watering, weeding, wood cutting, chicken feeding, etc, and be sure to bring your own water bottle and/or snack.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes EARLY as orientation will begin right at 10am! Members who are on-time will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates donated by various restaurants that support the farm:

Chilam Balam (owned by the former sous chef of Frontera Grill) – http://www.yelp.com/biz/chilam-balam-chicago-2

This is a FREE TAP-Chicago event, but City Farms asks for a $5 donation per volunteer to help support the farm.

City Farm is the most recent project of Resource Center, a nonprofit organization devoted to the economic and educational revitalization of under-developed neighborhoods through recycling, urban gardening, and more. City Farm occupies the previously vacant lot at the corner of Division and Clybourn and provides jobs, education, and healthy, affordable produce to disadvantaged neighborhoods such as Cabrini Green.

Street Parking: available along Division and Clybourn
Public Transportation: Red Line to Clark & Division or Brown Line to Sedgwick
