Come check out The Soonest as they play their first show since October with new songs from their upcoming EP, Lions At Your Door! Fronted by Taiwanese American Young Lee, The Soonest is an up-and-coming indie band that will perform this Friday with other bands including The Like Me’s and Colorscout. Doors open at 9pm.
Known for their energetic shows, intricate arrangements, and thoughtful songwriting, The Soonest have tirelessly worked on creating music that grows with every listen. The San Francisco quintet, comprised of members Young Lee (guitars/vocals), Andrew Wales (drums), Alex Stack (bass), Mark Quitevis (guitar) and Jonathan Posadas (guitar), started as a side project that quickly turned into a full band as they discovered their sound which has been described as rich and haunting and has been compared to bands such as The National, Bloc Party, and Arcade Fire. The members’ diverse geographical backgrounds also help bring different perspectives to the music seeing how the members come from cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Jose.
