It’s that time again! This year marks the 100th anniversary of Japan giving 3000 cherry trees to the city of Washington, DC. So come out and celebrate Sakura Festival 2012 with Taiwanese American Professionals – Washington, D.C. Area (TAP – DC)!

We’ll start by meeting at 11:00 am at the National Gallery of Art Cafeteria for lunch and then head over to the Freer and Sackler Galleries before 2 pm to catch a demonstration of kabuki. After that’s over, we’ll make our way towards the Washington Monument and then go south on 15th towards the Jefferson Memorial, capturing the beauty of the Cherry Blossoms as we make our trip.

Be sure to pack a camera and wear comfortable shoes!

*In case of rain, we’ll send out a message by 10 AM that day via Facebook and e-mail, and postpone the event until the following weekend.*
