A Moment with the Actors and Production Team Behind “Formosa Betrayed.”

Ho Chie Tsai, creator of TaiwaneseAmerican.org, chats with a few of the actors and production team behind the upcoming movie, Formosa Betrayed at the San Francisco / Bay Area’s 2010 annual Lunar New Year celebration.

Revolving around the theme, “Projecting Our Presence,” the event was hosted by TaiwaneseAmerican.org and the 2nd generation organizations in the area including TAP-SF, TACL-LYF, FAPA-YPG, TJCC, Young TAITA, NATEA 2, NATMA 2G, and NATWA II.

Formosa Betrayed is a political action thriller set during the martial law era of 1980’s Taiwan, and follows the investigation of the murder of a Taiwanese American professor as seen through the eyes of an FBI detective (played by James Van Der Beek of Dawson’s Creek). As events unfold, the gut-wrenching story of Taiwan’s movement toward democracy is revealed.

The movie opens on the weekend of Feb 26-28 in major cities nationwide. With your word-of-mouth support and strong showing at theaters, we believe this movie can find even wider distribution!
