Taiwanese American Professionals - Austin (TAP-ATX) is bringing Skaryoke back for a second year! Join us Friday, October 30th for a night of singing, mingling, and fun. This year's Skaryoke will be held at Austin Karaoke from 8pm-11pm. Drinks will be available but BYOB is welcome. We'll also have a costume contest AND a karaoke contest with prizes! Austin Taiwanese Association invites 周馥儀 (CEO of the Laiho foundation) and 張睿銓 (an independent music producer) to talk about the influence of 賴和 (Ho Lai) on Taiwanese cultural development as one of the pioneer in Taiwanese literature. They will introduce “囝仔” the first music video about the martial law period in Taiwan and talk about how to promote Taiwan’s international visibility via music and cultural heritages.

Come join Taiwanese American Professionals - Austin (TAP-ATX) for a community service event! Forgotten Friends - Mixed Breed Rescue needs volunteers to assist at a Dog Adoption Meet & Greet. You will help homeless dogs find their forever homes by holding dogs on leashes so that they can be seen by potential adopters. Volunteers will also assist with walking dogs, watching dogs in pens, brushing dogs, set up/break down, and possibly other various tasks as needed. RSVP for one (or…
