Summer Olympics with TAP in NY

The Games in Rio are right around the corner – and on Saturday, August 6th, join Taiwanese American Professionals – New York (TAP-NY) for our version of the summer Olympics. At the TAP Olympics, you and your friends will go head-to-head in a series of fun games and challenges in a friendly competition. Set on the first day of actual Olympic competition, come out for exercise, laughs, and to discover the outdoor beauty that is New York City.

Sign up now with a team of 4 (each team must have at least one female) or as a free agent (we will pair you with other team members) for an unforgettable experience. Spots are limited on a first come, first served basis, so register soon! While we cannot release the list of events you’ll be competing in beforehand, rest assured they will run the gamut of testing your physical and mental abilities – most importantly, they will be a lot of fun. You do NOT need to be Michael Phelps, Nathan Adrian, Kerri Walsh Jennings, or Allyson Felix to have a chance at medaling or having a great time.

We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate the series of games and challenges. Volunteering is a great way to meet other members, be a part of the competition, and get more involved with TAP – many birds with one stone. Taiwanese food truck Bian Dang will be providing lunchboxes (fried chicken leg and pork chop over rice) for all participants and volunteers. Lunch is included with your ticket price.

The exact location of this year’s Olympics will be released as the event draws closer, but it will be conveniently located in Central Park.
