SUMMARY:Family Giving Tree Event with TAP in SF
DESCRIPTION:Come and join Taiwanese American Professionals – San Francisco (TAP-SF) for an AACO and TAP-SF 2015 Holiday Season Charity Event! \nThis year\, we are working with the Family Giving Tree (www.familygivingtree.org) organization. We will be doing a scavenger hunt for gifts for low-income families with children that are in need of some extra Holiday Cheer this year. By participating in the scavenger hunt\, we will all get to do some SHOPPING (something most people already LOVE doing)\, while simultaneously DONATING back to our community and spreading Holiday JOY to children. A WIN-WIN for everyone! \nCONTACT: Philip Liu ( Philip.liu@tap-sf.org ) \nIMPORTANT. PLEASE NOTE: Participants are asked to come prepared with a small amount of money ($10 for gift/ $5 for lunch) to pool together to buy the gifts. \nParticipants will be organized into small teams to hunt/buy the gifts from the children’s wish list. These will be small and inexpensive items (we won’t be buying Playstations or Xboxs). Teams will be timed and the fastest team will WIN! Show your fellow TAP members who are the best teams (shoppers)! \nPost hunt\, we will get together and gift wrap everything for the children. In an effort to be “GREEN”\, we ask volunteers to bring any gift wrapping supplies\, paper bags\, and art supposes to decorate and put personal TAP touches on them. \nCome join us and help spread Holiday Cheer to the families at Family Giving Tree! \nLogistics:\n10:00 – Meet at Bridgepointe’s Starbucks patio\n10:30 – Scavenger hunt begins\n11:45 – Scavenger hunt ends\n12:00 – Pizza Lunch and Gift Wrapping \nWhat to Bring:\n$15 cash for $10 for the kids!! / $5 for pizza and soda\nGift-wrapping supplies\nComfortable clothes / shoes (lots of speed shopping)\nHappiness & a Good Heart *^_^* \nIf you need a ride or have some extra space\, please sign up for carpooling:http://www.groupcarpool.com/t/3t0nzd \nFAQ:\nDo I have to be Taiwanese\, Asian\, or Asian American to join?\nNO!
