DESCRIPTION:BGBridges (Build Great Bridges) and its first hub BGBAT (Build Great Bridges Around Taiwan)\, based in Taipei\, Taiwan\, would like to welcome you to our first Commingle in San Francisco\, California! \nJoin us on Thursday\, August 10th\, to look at how life\, work\, and the startup scene compare between San Francisco and Taiwan as a window to Greater Asia. We’ll look at the various factors that top global talent consider when choosing where to live and work: career opportunities\, living costs\, children’s education\, quality of life (healthcare\, safety\, clean air & water)\, proximity to elderly parents & family\, democratic government\, and the startup ecosystem for those who would entrepreneurship. \nWe will be joined by several professionals with experience and ties in both locales: \nBrian Wey\, Airbnb Payments Product Lead\, formerly at PayPal\nJerry Chang\, Founder\, Startup East Bay Community Group\, empowering underprivileged youth via entrepreneurial and leadership training\nCourtney Cruzan\, textile-apparel development & marketing\, newly returned from Taiwan\nLída Neeloo\, founder of JollyWe (Jollywe.com) and newly returned from a 30-day creative residency with Anchor Taiwan\nChieh-Ting Yeh\, co-founder of Ketagalan Media\, Harvard Law graduate\, thinker re: Taiwan’s history\, culture\, and global brand \nThe session will be moderated by BGBridges 社橋緣 founder Jane W.
