She is very patient and never complains about how much work she has to do. She just \u201cdo\u201d. I think that\u2019s the strong Taiwanese side of her. I, however, am still learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell us about one of your earliest memories of your mother.<\/strong> <em>(\u59b3\u5c0d\u6bcd\u89aa\u6700\u65e9\u7684\u8a18\u61b6\u662f\u751a\u9ebc?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My mom loves to cook and is an amazing cook. I remember growing up, she was always hosting dinners and cooking these elaborate dishes. She loves to feed people!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the most important thing you have learned from your mother or daughter?<\/strong> <em>(\u59b3\u5f9e\u6bcd\u89aa\uff0f\u5973\u5152\u5b78\u5230\u7684\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u662f\u751a\u9ebc?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My mom is a strong and nurturing Taiwanese woman. Her motto is \u201cbetter to take crap from other people than to give crap to other people\u201d. However, we should remain strong, even in the most difficult situations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell us about the ways that your mother makes you proud.<\/strong> <em>(\u59b3\u6bcd\u89aa\uff0f\u5973\u5152\u8b93\u4f60\u611f\u5230\u9a55\u50b2\u7684\u662f\u751a\u9ebc?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My mom is an amazing woman. I am proud of her for working three jobs to raise us when we were younger. I am proud of her for striving to succeed as an immigrant. I am proud of her for being the anchor of our family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell us about how your mother inspires you.<\/strong> <em>(\u59b3\u7684\u6bcd\u89aa\uff0f\u5973\u5152\u5982\u4f55\u6fc0\u52f5\u59b3?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My mom is not a quitter and she is not afraid to speak her mind. Even in her \u201cnot-so-good\u201d English, she will give anyone a piece of her mind (but in a loving way).<\/p>\n<p><strong>As time has gone on, how has your relationship with your mother changed?<\/strong> <em>(\u96a8\u8457\u5e74\u6b72\u7684\u589e\u9577\uff0c\u59b3\u5011\u6bcd\u5973\u95dc\u4fc2\u6709\u600e\u9ebc\u6a23\u7684\u8b8a\u5316?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve always been close, but we fought a lot when I was a teenager and through my early 20s. But now we are super close, even though we live 400 miles apart.
