I also learned that no matter what Dad might think, Taiwanese Moms are always the boss \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the most important thing you have learned from your mother?<\/strong> <em>(\u59b3\u5f9e\u6bcd\u89aa\uff0f\u5973\u5152\u5b78\u5230\u7684\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u662f\u751a\u9ebc?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve learned that if you work hard and never give up, you can achieve great things. <\/p>\n<p>My mom is the model of perseverance for me \u2014 she went to Kansas State University for graduate school, and lived in a basement apartment with a dirt floor and no insulation. Her desk was a table balanced over two piles of bricks. She didn\u2019t know a single person in this country, let alone in the small town of Manhattan, Kansas. I don\u2019t think I would have survived that, but my mom never gave up. She has come so far and achieved so much since then, and I admire her greatly for that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell us about how your mother inspires you.<\/strong> <em>(\u59b3\u7684\u6bcd\u89aa\uff0f\u5973\u5152\u5982\u4f55\u6fc0\u52f5\u59b3?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My mother inspires me so much \u2014 she is smart, funny (mostly on purpose\u2026) and successful. She\u2019s so self-confident, adventurous and always willing to try new things.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is one thing that you would like your mother to know?<\/strong> <em>(\u6709\u90a3\u4ef6\u4e8b\u662f\u59b3\u5e0c\u671b\u8b93\u59b3\u7684\u6bcd\u89aa\uff0f\u5973\u5152\u77e5\u9053\u7684?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I want my mom to know that she is my hero \u2014 she has sacrificed and overcome so many things, and she is the strongest person I know.
