You too can be like a rock star and wave to thousands of adoring fans as you ride the Taiwanese American Chamber of Commerce float in the 2012 Chinese New Years Parade. Come join us for the festivities and help to support the pride of Taiwan. Traditional Chinese costumes will be provided if you would like to dress up.

Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce – Chicago (TJCCC) is proud to present a special ‘Dine and Learn’ event. We will be having a special guest speaker, attorney Jacob Ehrnshaft who will be doing a presentation on Business Law,

This presentation will address several legal considerations for new and existing businesses, such as choice of business entity, maintenance of the various entities and exit strategies. The various types of entities include: corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), partnerships, and sole proprietorships. Ongoing concerns such as contracts, independent contractors, and minute books will also be addressed.

For this December gathering, we will be screening the new documentary film “Dear Taiwan,” and having a discussion afterwards. Then we are going to do a WHITE ELEPHANT gift exchange, have dinner, and roast marshmallows by the fire.

In case you wondered, White Elephant is sort of like Secret Santa, but the rules of choosing a gift are different. So please bring a gift to exchange (max value: $20) and get ready to receive something awesome!

“Dear Taiwan” Documentary Screens at Northwestern University

Dear Taiwan is a documentary by Director Chen Lihkuei that explores the topic of Taiwanese identity among Taiwan’s youth today. Director Chen interviews a number of Taiwanese public figures, ranging from authors to musicians to social activists, on their perspectives and experiences as Taiwanese people.
