BGBridges (Build Great Bridges) and its first hub BGBAT (Build Great Bridges Around Taiwan), based in Taipei, Taiwan, would like to welcome you to our first Commingle in California’s South Bay!
Come get to know what BGBridges & BGBAT’s about; how we connect talent to opportunities; look at how life, work, and the startup scene compare between the Silicon Valley & Taiwan; and join us in exploring how you and your family can best utilize your summers to build bridges with Taiwan & Asia.
We’ll look at the various factors that top global talent consider when choosing where to live and work: career opportunities, living costs, children’s education, quality of life (healthcare, safety, clean air & water), proximity to elderly parents & family, democratic government, and the startup ecosystem for those who would entrepreneurship.
Founders of BGBAT & Ketagalan Media will present our takes on why Taiwan is worthy of consideration, based on our experience and ties in both locales:
Chieh-Ting Yeh, co-founder of Ketagalan Media, earned his law degree from Harvard and has worked in politics, law, and media in New York, London, Tokyo, and Taipei. Based in the Silicon Valley, Ting is a thinker of Taiwan’s history, culture, and global brand.
Jane W. Wang, founder of BGBAT (hub of BGBridges), is a social innovation entrepreneur with a prior career in intercultural training & consulting + business development, marketing, and communications in Tokyo, NY, and Taipei. She studied sociology at Berkeley, international affairs at Fletcher/Tufts, and holds certifications in coaching and the MBTI (Myers-Briggs).
Look forward to meeting you and to a lively discussion!
