Taiwanese American Students Club Night Market at UIUC

Are you from Taiwan and you miss home? Wouldn’t you KILL to have another taste of the night market food? Well, you’re in luck! The Taiwanese American Students Club (TASC) would like to present our first annual Taiwan Has Heart event!

We’ve got some traditional Taiwanese arcade games and various foods like tea egg (茶葉蛋), bubble tea, and don’t forget that Taiwanese Sausage! Don’t worry, there’ll be more food at night market so come and check it out!

All booths–arcade games and food–will be worth 1 ticket and you guys get 3 free tickets when you come! If you guys run out of tickets, don’t fret! We’ll be selling more tickets also! All proceeds will go to Tzu Chi, a Taiwan based international philanthropic organization that is popularly known for its selfless contributions to society like building schools and hospitals around the world.

We’ve also got Taiwanese candies and vintage TASC shirts we’ll be selling! And hey, have you guys also missed shopping and bargaining in Taiwan? Well, we’re going to recreate it by holding a mini garage-like sale where you can barter with the seller for a lower price!

So come to Taiwan Has Heart 2013: Night Market and experience Taiwan on campus! And if you’re not familiar with the Taiwanese culture, have a small glimpse of what it’s like!

It’ll be on Anniversary Plaza on October 11 from 6 to 9, so don’t miss out!!
