Taiwanese American Professionals – San Francisco (TAP-SF) would like to officially invite you to one of the many famed Great TAPsy parties on June 15, 2013 from 8-11pm at the swank and speakeasy Carbon Lounge (383 Bay St, SF, CA).

Gents and Dolls, make your way over to this “secret” party at TAPsy’s in your finest Roaring 20s attire– bring out those pinstriped suits, sequins, cloches, flapper costumes, fedoras and suspenders! Remy Martin will be present to serve some 1920’s recipes with its special 1738 collection, created specifically for TAP at member prices!

Did you know that the 1920’s (Roaring 20s, Jazz age etc) were an age of exciting social changes? The younger generation was liberated from its victorian tendencies, and technology, entertainment, and fashion progressed in ways that we see today!

Fun Facts:
– Highly formal daily attire was abandoned for more comfortable clothing and athletic wear
– Women vote for the first time in a national election
– The 20s heralded the manufacturing of cosmetics. Powder, lipstick, rouge, eyebrow pencil, eye shadow, colored nails. It was all there
– Drinks with one-half ounce of alcohol were considered illegal which is why speakeasies formed

Cost: Free for members, $5 for non
