Taiwanese American Professionals – Los Angeles (TAP-LA) is excited to host our first professional seminar with Michael Mau and his colleagues from the Central Intelligence Agency. The topic will focus on career development and factors leading towards a satisfying and fulfilling career (applicable to private and public sector careers). His experiences throughout 21 years at the CIA provide real-world examples of his journey to discovering an unexpected career path. A Q&A will follow the presentation.

About Michael Mau (and colleagues)
Michael M. serves as the Asian American Community Outreach & Liaison Program Manager on the Director, Central Intelligence Agency staff. He has over 20 years of experience with the CIA in the areas of; diversity recruitment & security. Volunteer scholarship reviewer for the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), mentor to junior APA officers at CIA and a coach to APA National Scholarship students. He is a member of the Asian American Government Executives Network (AAGEN), the Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) and the APA Employee Resource Group within the CIA.
Mr. Mau graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Chinese History and served in the U.S. Air Force Pacific Air Command.
Sharon C. serves as the Pacific South Regional Recruiter for the CIA’s Recruitment Center. She never thought of working at CIA and now has almost 20 years with the organization. She has spent her career in the Directorate of Support in various assignments including some overseas travel. Sharon obtained a Math degree from UCLA and an MBA from Texas A&M.
Christine L. serves as an Economic Analyst under the Directorate of Intelligence and has been employed at the CIA for 2 years. She worked in management and strategy consulting prior to coming to the CIA. Christine received a degree in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and is conversationally-fluent in Mandarin and French.
