The holiday season is in full swing and it’s the perfect time to get into the spirit of giving. Taiwanese American Professionals – San Francisco (TAP-SF) will be working with Meals on Wheels of San Francisco to prepare holiday bags and make holiday cards that will go to seniors throughout the city and brighten their holidays.

Last year, we helped stuff 1,100 bags, wrap 300 notebooks and organize over 300 holiday lights to distribute as holiday presents to hundreds of grateful seniors. Let’s beat these numbers this year!

Meals on Wheels is a Bay Area nonprofit which provides two home-delivered meals a day, seven days a week to over 1,800 homebound seniors located in San Francisco, over half of which live on modified or special diets including low sodium, diabetic, or mechanically softened meals. 66% of their clients live alone, so these holiday presents will be a nice touch from the TAP community showing we’re thinking of them and sending them warm wishes for the holidays. Driving to the event is highly recommended.

Please note: This event is limited as far as the number of attendees. Priority will be given to TAP members first so please become a member if you aren’t already. You can become a member by following online directions here: http://tap-sf.org/membership/. This event is FREE for both members and non-members.

Please email Diny Huang at diny.huang@tap-sf.org to RSVP for this event and receive additional volunteer details (and to ask about carpool arrangements).
