Join Taiwanese American Professionals – New York (TAP – NY) for this community service event.
According to an analysis of the latest census trends by the Asian American Federation, Chinese seniors had the largest increase in senior poverty rates among all Asian groups. As many of our seniors get older, it is harder for them to do simple tasks around the house. TAP will be piloting a new program with Asian Americans for Equality to develop a volunteer base where participants can perform one-time pre-screened tasks for these seniors. Our mission
is to improve the quality of life and living conditions for low-income residents in Manhattan’s Chinatown and Lower East Side.
