Taiwan Ink Painting Artist Huang Zhefu: Traditional to Contemporary Chinese Ink Painting Exhibition, Demonstration, and Lecture

Well-known Taiwan ink painter Mr. Huang Zhefu will be exhibiting ten recent works, demonstrating Chinese brush painting techniques, and speaking on “Chinese Ink Painting Tradition And Innovation” at Eastern Michigan University on July 21, 2012, 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, at Eastern Michigan University Student Center Meeting Room 300 (900 Oakwood Street, Ypsilanti, MI).

Master Huang has exhibited his work at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Miaoli, and in the Taoyuan County Bureau of Cultural Affairs collection. He was the chairperson of the Fine Arts Association of Taoyuan County Cultural and Educational Foundation, Chief Executive of Da Ke Kan, and Albatron resident artist. He is a member of the Incumbent Art Association; honorary director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; and he has taught at the university for the elderly, community colleges, the Department of the Ministry of Justice. His work has won gold medals in the Ink Group Exhibition in Japan and South Korea. His work received a bronze medal at the Tai Yang Art Exhibition in Taiwan.
All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Ann Arbor Chinese Center of Michigan (AACCOM.org).
