Ronald McDonald House of San Diego is a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill children being treated at San Diego area hospitals. One of Ronald McDonald House’s many goals is to offer their families a dinner every night of the week. Not having to prepare their own meal, after a day at the hospital, gives families one less worry during this difficult time in their lives. Additionally, they have a chance to connect and spend time with other families in similar situations.
Come help make a difference in someone’s day and prepare a meal for the families at Ronald McDonald House! Taiwanese American Professionals – San Diego (TAP-SD) will be preparing food at their fully equipped kitchen and serving food afterwards. The menu of the day we volunteer was requested to be a brunch theme. Due to the capacity of the facility, it’s recommended to limit our group to 15 people. So RSVP as soon as possible!
Last but not least, no matter whether or not you will be volunteering, we highly appreciate your donation to cover the cost of the event. Donation link: https://www.wepay.com/donations/ronald-mcdonald-house-cook-a-meal
Before the event, we will organize a temporary committe of volunteers to generate ideas of what we will be cooking and serving and assign preparation work. Check the Facebook event page for upcoming details.
