The Taiwanese American Association – Northern New Jersey chapter offers its 2012 Scholarship for high school students.
Mission: To recognize American-born Taiwanese (ABT) or new immigrants of Taiwanese origin for their participation and contributions to the Taiwanese American community
Eligibility: High School full time students (grades 11-12) currently studying in NJ or NY.
Rules Word count must be 750 ~ 1,200 words. The essay should be written in English.
Essay must meet a minimum score to qualify. If selected, writer will read his/her essay at the TAANNJ annual meeting. Family of the committee members cannot apply for scholarship.

How does identifying yourself as Taiwanese American affect your view on what makes a good leader? (Specific and personal examples are highly encouraged)

Scholarships: 1st place $1000, 2nd place $500, 3rd and 4th place $250, and $50 for qualified applicants.
Winners Announcement: By Email or/and telephone on 2/19/12. During the 2/25/12 TAA-NNJ Annual Meeting, awardees will be honored and checks will be given.
