Having you been getting the entrepreneurial itch? Have a great business idea, but don’t know where to begin? Recently started your company, but need to figure out the right next moves?

For those interested in starting a small local business to those aspiring to create the next Facebook, this workshop offers a chance to learn insider tips direct from the mouths of an expert panel of successful founders. We’ll cover topics such as the business plan, financing, business structure, early company strategy, and how to turn these ideas and plans into successful results.

DLA Piper’s Curtis Mo, a leading startup lawyer that has worked with thousands of companies, will lead us in this can’t miss discussion. Joining Curtis will be a group of successful entrepreneurs who will offer perspectives across different industries:

Leslie Silverglide
Founder of Wello
Leslie co-founded Mixt Greens, a quick-service restaurant concept that serves tossed-to-order salads and focuses on a health conscious clientele. After selling Mixt Greens to Nestle’s investment arm, Leslie received her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is currently developing Wello, an online marketplace that connects consumers with fitness professionals over live, interactive video for individual and group workouts from the home, office, or anywhere in-between. Leslie has her BA from the Johns Hopkins University and an MSc from the University of Oxford.

JD Chang
Founder and CEO of Fanitics
JD is a Taiwanese American entrepreneur with experience in film, fashion, and technology. He’s co-produced the Mrs. America Pageant for Women’s Entertainment Television, produced the indie thriller Hallettsville starring Gary Busey, and directed a feature documentary for Jay Chou’s company JVR Music in Taiwan. While also in Taiwan, he helped his friends launch Heavy Machine, a designer high heel shoe line which has been featured in Glamour, Vogue, and Elle. Most recently, he is launching his next start-up Fanitics, a Fantasy Politics gaming application.

Roger Chen
Co-Founder and CTO of Genia Chip
Roger is the CTO of Genia Chip, a Series A funded company that develops integrated circuits to enable massively parallel single-molecule DNA sequencing. He has over 10 years of analog/mixed signal electronics experience. He worked at Maxim Integrated Products, an industry leader in analog semiconductors. He has also defined and launched over 50 integrated circuits that are currently in production today. In 2001, Mr. Chen left Maxim and later received his MS in Biochemistry from UC Santa Cruz. Mr. Chen also holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
