Please join the Formosa Foundation and our special guest Congressman Howard Berman (D-CA), ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, for an important conversation about Taiwan and its resurgence on Capitol Hill.

Your attendance is critical as the fall session of Congress looks to be explosive. There are dozens of items relating to Taiwan for which we are fighting. From resolutions and amendments, to a second hearing and pending legislation, the Formosa Foundation is actively working to dramatically challenge the conventional wisdom regarding Taiwan. We are honored to have Congressman Howard Berman as a partner in this battle and hope that you will join us.

Berman has been a long time supporter of the Formosa Foundation and a dominant voice for Taiwan’s democracy. He has aggressively defended the Taiwan Relations Act and most recently authored the Berman/Connelly amendment to the Foreign Relations Authorization Act stating that the United States should continue arms sales to Taiwan.

We are fortunate that Congressman Berman has taken the time out of his busy schedule to meet and discuss issues that are important to the Taiwanese-American community. We hope that you will attend this special event to voice your concerns and show your support.
