The word around the NBA summer league is that former Harvard basketball standout, Jeremy Lin, is in serious talks with the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angeles Lakers, and one other team for a spot on an NBA roster or the Development League. Dallas was the only team to offer Lin a spot on a summer league roster. Lin has averaged 8.0 points, 2.0 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in his current stint with the Mavs. On Thursday, he went up against the NBA’s number one draft pick, and frontrunner for Rookie of the Year, John Wall.
Best of luck to Jeremy in his quest to become the first Taiwanese American to play in the NBA. We’ll keep you updated on his progress.
