One of our favorite artists, Kelly Tsai, who we’ve mentioned many times before, is performing at Northwestern University! She’s got strong ties to Chicago, so be sure to catch her inspiring and passionate words through her intense lyrical poetry. She always delivers!

Kelly is a Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based Chinese Taiwanese American spoken word artist who has been featured at over 350 performances worldwide including three seasons on “Russell Simmons Presents HBO Def Poetry”. Her award-winning blend of spoken word poetry passionately ties the personal with the political, local and global. Her poetry can be found in numerous journals and anthologies. Current projects include her national and international touring schedule, her hip hop theater solo show “The Grieving Room,” and a cybermedia project integrating live spoken word into mixed-reality platforms.
